Casie serves the Disability Equity Office as an American Sign Language interpreter. She holds her NIC certification with Medical/Mental Health and Deaf/Blind endorsements. Casie earned her BA in American Sign Language Interpreting from Indiana in 2012 and did her internship in Tennessee. She moved to Oregon and worked in a variety of settings as a freelance interpreter, specializing in healthcare interpreting. In 2020, she returned to Michigan to be closer to family. In her free time, she enjoys hiking, painting, and reading the next good book.
