All individuals implementing formal resolution processes under the Policy on Sexual and Gender-Based Misconduct receive extensive training.
This includes Title IX Coordinators, Deputy Title IX Coordinators, investigators, hearing officers, decision-makers, and adaptable resolution facilitators. Training covers:
- Federal Title IX requirements and definitions of sexual harassment
- The scope of the university’s education programs and activities
- How to conduct investigations and resolution processes (including hearings, appeals, and informal resolution, as applicable)
- How to serve impartially by avoiding bias, conflicts of interest, and prejudgment
