Crystal Flynn is the EEO/AA specialist in the Equity, Civil Rights, and Title IX Office. In this role, Crystal assists the civil rights director in the implementation of the University’s affirmative action programming requirements and works collaboratively with management and human resources staff to ensure that personnel actions reflect the University’s commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion while complying with federal/state laws and regulations.
Crystal has worked as a diversity trainer, helping individuals and organizations create and enhance environments that embrace social justice, value diversity, educate/empower leaders, and promote inclusion as well as respect. She has completed training in unconscious bias, undoing racism, intergroup dialogue, and facilitator training and was a Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion lead in the Office of the Provost. Crystal is a graduate of the University of Michigan-Flint, holding bachelor of business administration and master of public administration degrees.
